TALLAHASSEE — Fourteen of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s state parks are experiencing closures today after severe weather recently caused flooding. These are temporary closures and services will resume once conditions allow.

Florida Park Service Opens New River Camp Along Suwannee River Wilderness Trail

DOWLING PARK - The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Suwannee River Wilderness Trail has opened the sixth river camp for visitors to enjoy. Located less than a mile downriver from the Advent Christian Village, Dowling Park River Camp provides overnight accommodations for river travelers looking for adventure, while enjoying some of the comforts of civilization.
